Finding Blessings

The Lord is so good in letting me become a mother, it is the best job I could have ever asked for. Each day with my daughter is special and new.
Sometimes we have our rough moments where mommy's patience is see-through
and other moments are the most wonderful that I have experienced.

Today was one of those moments, that I have thought back on,
in the stillness of the afternoon napping time.

This morning, we were out delivering Christmas cookies to folks around the area.
We stopped in to visit a lady from church, Elsa Preston.
She showed Bella some toys to play with, one of which was a singing snowman.
Bella said please for me to start it, and so I did.
Well, there my girl sat, holding the snowman and she started kissing its head.
After this she proceeded to hug him while giving him liberal amounts of kisses.
It filled my mother-heart to the brim.

As we left, I had Bella say thank you and give Elsa a hug.
She hugged Elsa, and then to my surprise leaned in for a kiss.
I love seeing my little girl grow up!
I am pleased when I see this kindness for others emerge.
I pray for my children and I do what I can by showing Bella what to do.
Yet, I love seeing her make the choice on her own.

God is so good to let us women become mothers.
It is to build character not only in your young child but, to build it in you!
Today I am praying for all of my fellow mother friends.
May the simple blessings of the day be yours!
