Lately Bella and I have been enjoying drinking a lot of smoothies.
I find that I can get a lot of nutrients without a lot of bulk in my stomach.
Belle also loves the sweet taste of the fruit.
Here is one my favorites to make
1 small silverware spoon full of flax seeds
1 small silverware spoon full of wheat bran
8-10 frozen strawberries (or fresh) frozen are what is inexpensive for me
7 Frozen blackberries
1 banana
1 large handful fresh spinach
3/4 of a fresh tomato
1 whole fresh fruit chopped up (I use either pear or peach)
Soy Milk
1 small container of vanilla yogurt ( I do not use sugar free because I am pregnant)
2 small silverware spoons of Orange Juice concentrate
Ice
Add flax seeds, wheat bran, tomato, and spinach blend first
Add rest of ingredients, making sure you have enough soy milk
Add ice to taste.
