Thoughts for holiday decorating

Remember just a few simple touches go a long way.

~ A pair of new pillows, or a brightly colored throw will do wonders to a room.

~ Candle light softens and adds glow to a room.
You can find inexpensive candles, a candle plate and something to fill in.
Some ideas are: gems, small ornaments, beads, or if you are brave in regards to fire..... small pine cones.

~ Think groups of three; whether you are using candles or large decorative items. The human eye adjusts easier to odd groupings.
~ Use different heights to add variance

~ The table runner! This little wonder looks good on your dinner table yes, but it can be placed on anything from your entertainment center to your coffee table.
A nice plain gold one looks amazing when topped with a candle scape.

~ Unusual place settings... When planning your holiday table, think outside the box.
Here are several ideas for place cards.
Use a piece of fruit where the stem can be slit to hold a place card.
Use a pretty salad plate to write the persons initial in chocolate.
Find an ornament you like and attach a pretty piece of paper with the person name
(This can also be a take home gift)

Hopefully these are some fun ideas to start off the holiday season for you.
I wish for all, that it be merry, bright and full of Christ's love for you

Took some time today to read through your holiday decor tips. Very nice. I like your ideas for place cards. Maybe you should be an interior designer!
