This sauce is so simple to make. In no time you have delicious, rich caramel sauce and NO yucky additives! Plus, it is fun to pull it all together.
Here is the perfect recipe
Put the butter in a medium sized saucepan. Turn it on medium heat and allow it to slowly melt. Let it turn slightly golden in the pan. Add the sugar and briskly whisk. finally add cream in and stir constantly. Allow to cook on medium heat to make sure it is fully combined. Then, turn up the heat. (do not hurry this process, take it slow and enjoy the moment :)
Allow to come to a boil, and boil for 1 minute.
Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and add vanilla extract. Whip with beaters for 3 minutes to thicken it.
Add salt and stir to combine.
Serve it right away or pour it into a mason jar. When you keep it in the fridge, it will keep about 1 month.
With Christmas around the corner this might just be the perfect treat to serve friends and family!
