Green Grows The....

I was so excited to find the little Miracle Grow containers on sale at Walmart for $1! 

I saw this, and knew I needed it for 2 year old learning time with Bella. 

Our Growing In The Dirt Lesson

We planted our wee seeds and talked about what they would become. 

Then, we grabbed a potato and toothpicks to sprout it in a glass. 

We went over how it would get roots and then, we could plant it in the ground. 

I went here to get a refresher course in how to do this. 

How to grow a potato in water

After finishing this, we watched Sid The Science Kid  

"The Dirt On Dirt" on Netflix.

To end the day, we dug in the dirt out back and filled up our buckets. 

We brought them inside and looked through to see what was in the backyard dirt. 

We did some drawings of the findings, along with other things that might live or grow in dirt. 

All in all a fun morning. 

I look forward to doing a soap/bubble play morning next week.
