Making Friends at Kool April Nights
We have been busy!
I picked up two more fun volunteer opportunities recently.
I am starting a story-time at our Oak Run Library the first Thursday of the month.
I will be show-casing two books and bringing coloring pages.
I thought, hey it is fun for my kids why not include others!
Also, I am on a committee to publish an new Oak Run Community Newsletter.
The group that is doing it is hardworking and fun. We hope to have our first issue out in May.
I was re-elected for another year as secretary of the History Group.
So, I am looking forward to another year doing that.
Also, I am still over at the fire-hall meetings to help out.
Church works keeps me busy as well. Sunday morning duties and general up-keep are always needed.
Recently, my friend Julie started a Sunday School for the kids and Bella has been enjoying that.
With Bible Study on Tuesday, Choir on Thursdays and then two youth groups a month we keep very busy with that.
BSF is coming to a close for the summer, and I find myself sad and thankful.
I will miss Wednesdays and our Tuesday playgroups.
I will miss it so much but, I am grateful for the break
.
Bella is growing like a weed. She is learning her alphabet, can count to 20 and is asking all sorts of why questions. I have also been pleased to see her grow in her knowledge about Christ. She has memorized two verses from the bible and it has been wonderful to see her apply them in her life, her tender heart is growing. Also, her energy level is growing too. She is a most active young gal.
My favorite quote from her recently is
Bella to her brother "You need to get out of the bathroom Conner, this is not a playroom and no toys allowed. Go to the living room, that is a playroom and no one needs privacy for potty out there" I had to hide my face as I corrected her in the way she spoke to him.

Conner is walking around everywhere. He says Mama, Bella and Dada.
He also loves to sing. When I say "La la la" he is right there with me.
He is a quiet, sweet natured boy. So much like his daddy and so different from my active Bella.
He also, loves his Mommy's lap very much.
Dave keeps busy between shifts at work and work here around the house.
He became the pastor here in Oak Run last summer and has been enjoying it.
He is hoping to get some camping and hunting in this summer.
Well, there is an update for you on what the Walters are up to.
