A Beautiful Moment In Time

Pretty soon, some of my best friends will be moving away to different states.
Last night we had a great get together and my friend Julie penned this beautiful poem about our experience.
It brings tears to my eyes and causes me to truly sit back, and thank the Lord for relationships.

A summer evening in Oak Run
Strolling down Murphy Lane with good friends
Chatting, laughing, watching our kids play
Picking sweet blackberries, plump with juice
Filling our bucket, popping juicy berries into our mouths
Cousins and friends, carefree hand in hand
Running to catch one another,
chubby little toddler legs trying to keep up
Exclamations over all the delicious bounty
Listening to my girls call to their "aunties"
Purple stains and thorn pricked fingers
So thankful for these friendships God gave me
Grateful for all these moments
Hope to never forget that lovely, simplistic evening
Hold on to the memory as long as I can
