Each day that passes I grow larger in the stomach, and more delighted at the thought of the little boy that will soon join us. I was amazed to realize today when I was looking at my due-date, that I only have about 14 weeks left.

but, start enjoying something and it fly's right by. I feel as though this pregnancy was my most difficult to start with, but is going by the fastest. I have been telling our daughter Isabella all about her coming baby brother and she seems to understand that some sort of change is in the wind. I have been very careful to show her how exciting a new baby can be.
So many parents make an issue out of welcoming a new baby.
They expect the child to be cranky and upset that the parents are occupied with new baby.
I am trying to help Bella as much as possible see the joy in a new sibling.

Nate was 2.5 when Jon was born. What worked for me was to tell Nate that Jon was "his baby." and that it was his job to help me with him. That God GAVE HIM a baby brother who NEEDED HIM to be a good helper and to take good care of him. It was so cute to hear him ask "wheres MY baby?"
