All things autumn

I am basking in the season these days, just trying to soak it all in. We've had warm sunny afternoons with slight winds that cause the whole golden array of leaves to shutter. The wee ones and I have been keeping careful track of the trees in a row out the front of the church. It seems more and more leaves flutter down each day. With help, of course from Bella and Conner and a good shaking.
We've had chilly nights that require a sweater, and extra blankets.  Finally the rainy season is about to begin, today was our first coat day!
In school the focus has been all the glories of fall. A travel through time into the life of Johnny Chapman (Appleseed) was taken. Then, we tasted the yumminess of apples, while picking our favorite flavors.
There was a pumpkin patch trip or two. One included a train ride where we found ourselves in the middle of an old fashioned hold up. The excitement was high for Miss Belle, meanwhile Mr Conner felt that would be a good moment to get off the train.
Today we enjoyed a fun field trip to Trader Joes. We got a behind the scenes peek at all the shopping fun.
At the end, we were given treat bags to partake of in the car.

Tonight with Dad, we engaged in some pumpkin carving. Miss B's choice was to create Cinderella's Carriage complete with lots of glittery glitter!

Hope fall is divine for you and full of moments to make memories.
