This is a very popular one in the land of blogs.
I still think it is adorable! You can make this and use them for Christmas or Valentines day.
What a great way to re purpose candy canes.
I used mini-candy canes but, I am sure you could use full-size and trim them a bit.
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and heat up the oven to 250 degrees.
2. Place candy canes on a baking sheet and arrange them so they form a heart.
3. Bake for about 5 minutes or until soft to the touch.
4. Pinch all the ends together so that the candy cane will cool in the desired shape.
5. When they are cool, attach a ribbon by thing it or with hot glue.
There you go! So much fun and super cute.
Only do not bake your ornaments too long. I learned this the hard way.
You get hot peppermint puddles. Somehow, they are just not as cute as the other option.
Merry and happy weekend to all!
