God is the supreme ruler over all, he is infinite, he is power and full of majesty.
In centuries past, men have built idols. graven images, unseeing and unknowing.
They traded the glory of the immortal God for these gold, wood or stone images.
In the comfort of modern society we chuckle at their foolishness.
Let me replace that, I have chuckled at their foolishness.
I have wondered how they could be so silly as to worship such frauds.
We as modern Christians don't seem to notice that we have built our own idols up around us.
We worship SELF, we value the power of a keen intellect, a witty retort and the strong mind we have.
We have created idols not of stone but of intangible qualities.
With the worship of self,
doubts about the existence of God creep in,
questioning his power to save knocks at the door
and most of all, fear rushes in.
Without even knowing it we like the Israelites of old have replaced the glory of God for that which is

Without even knowing it we like the Israelites of old have replaced the glory of God for that which is
frail,
passing away
and withering
Isaiah 40 : 6-8 says:“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the LORD blows on them.
Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”

because the breath of the LORD blows on them.
Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”
This reminds me of my own frailty and that I can not trust my mind.
I can not rely on my own strength to save... I am frail and lowly!
Again though, hope is renewed and the answer is giving for where I should be putting my trust
Isaiah 40: 28-31 says
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

So I encourage you.... set your intellect aside and leave your pride at the door.
Do not trust anything but the word of our amazing Lord-God.
He does not fade away, he loves with an ever-lasting love and will always satisfy
Go out and live in faith!
Romans 1:16- 17 says:
For I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes:
first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—
a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,
just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.
