I now present
The Kyrie from Mozart's Requiem Mass in D minor
This has long been a very admired piece of music for me.
It draws you behind as though you are pulled by a mighty ship.
Slowly building in majesty and pomp with the cascading end.
There are a lot of myths surrounding the pieces contained in this Requiem as well.
I love a good story so this piece has to be a favorite because of that.
It is said that the man who helped write the Requiem was intending on passing it off as his own.
Certain parts look like they may not be in Mozart's handing writing. (Curious?)
In the end we have what I consider to be, a truly inspired piece
