For those of you who enjoy birth stories... this is for you.
For those of you who don't I am so sorry to write this:) But because I am a emotional mother, I must do it.
Monday morning March, 29th my water broke here at our house.
I had been advised to go in as soon as possible because Conner was sideways or partially transverse.
So we rushed in.... or rather stumbled in because it was early.
He was found to be completely breech and a C-section was decided upon.
The staff was simply amazing and made me feel as comfortable as one can be about this decision.
As the c-section was started, it was found that I had a partial placenta abrupt-ion....
(which is actually how our first son passed away)
Also, the cord was completely wrapped around his legs and shoulder which did not allow for entrance into the birth canal.
Everything seemed to go well and after recovery he was placed in my arms.
I wanted my mom to make sure and see him, as she would be leaving with Bella for home soon,
So I passed him to her.
She mentioned that he seemed a little gray.
As I took him back the blanket fell away from his feet and revealed very blue ones.
The nurse immediately took him down to the nursery and they began rubbing him down.
As the nurses came back with updates... more and more seemed to go wrong.
His O2 was low and he was having trouble breathing, so he was placed on oxygen,
he had fluid in his lungs
he had a major allergic reaction the the eye drops they give to babies,
he was low in calcium,
his whole body was covered by a major rash,
he was extremely shaky (something they often see in babies with drug addicted parents)
No, I am not addicted to drugs... shame shame (Just kidding)
He also has a problem with his manly parts and we will be seeing a specialist for this in Sacramento.
The next few days Dave's world and my own were up and down, I stayed in my hospital room and pleaded with the Lord for my son to be ok.
I was unable to go to see Conner because I was too weak. I tried to rush the process and ended up fainting because my iron count was too low. All things work themselves out, and I got to feeling better and was able to visit my son.
In the end, the pediatricians felt like Conner showed signs of a baby who came out with a full blown infection. We are not sure exactly what happened but, are so thankful God took care of our little guy and now he is home safe with his Sister, Mommy and Daddy,

I'm so glad to hear that all is well now! I can relate, to an extent... Jakob was showing signs of being born a bit too early. His feet kept going blue, fluid in his lungs, difficulty breathing. But no rash or shaking. It's so hard to see your baby whisked away from you and you can't go see him because you are still recovering and too weak.
Praise the Lord for his protection and healing!
Hugs!
