A Quote A Day

Written By Gladys West Hendricks, Author of "My First 300 Babies"
From the beginning of his life each person should be taught a way of life which promotes right behavior and self-sufficiency, and guides his growth into well adjusted, well rounded adulthood.

Alexander Pope, the well known English poet,
once said,

"Order is heaven's first law."
Upon order and a right sense of disciple depend the success and joy of parenthood.
Order and disciple should start from the cradle and continue consistently through the growing years. This discipline does not include arbitrary imposition of the parent's will on their children.
It does include love and understanding on the part of the parents,
as well as early training and guidance with consistent enforcement day after day.

This is the type of parent I long and pray to be.
I love what Gladys has to say through-out her book in regards to steady, loving discipline.
I ask our father in heaven to give me
patience, diligence, love and fortitude when it comes to raising my children.
I pray even now that he will give me the insight and consistency I need.
